Cloud computing can no longer be considered as just another buzz-word and is now has broadening adoption across all sectors and with organisations of all sizes.
Enterprises tend to buy their own private infrastructure to put into data centres but there is also capability to work in a hybrid capacity leveraging both public and private cloud infrastructures.
Cloud computing in the enterprise environment gives a number of key opportunities
Scaleable consumption with the ability to introduce only the IT resources needed eliminating the need and costs associated with over provisioning.
Centralised security and control – the more centralised nature of cloud based systems makes it easier to implement consistent processes and policies to keep the security and maintenance of systems up to date.
